Would you like to have a real taste of mining? All you need to do is put on your wellies, grab a warm jacket and take a lamp because where else than in the subterranean world would you hear, see and feel the same things as the men who toiled away in below ground every day.
The mining museum also has an Enrichment Factory. As an educational experience, it demonstrates the journey of oil shale, tells how energy is created and showcases information on the subject of future trends in the energy sector.

The underground restaurant of the Estonian Mining Museum is unique in Estonia because it is located in a former oil shale mine. In the restaurant, you can eat just like real miners did for decades. A miner’s soup, miner’s bread with salo, and a shot for adults are served from a table moving along the rails. You can enjoy a meal at the underground restaurant if booked at least two days in advance.
A visit to the underground restaurant with a tour is perfect for companies to make the seminar day more interesting.
