The Ice Age Centre is a unique family experience centre in the Baltics. Here you can see life-size prehistoric animals and experience a vivid insight into how the world and Estonian nature has evolved over the millennia. The exhibition offers visitors an insight into the formation and impact of the Ice Age on the Earth, Estonia and Vooremaa, the evolution of Estonian nature and human settlement since the last Ice Age, and the causes of climate change and how they are studied.

In addition to the exhibition, you can enjoy a raft trip on Lake Saadjärv. The raft trip offers scenic views and exciting experiences! Guides, operating the raft, will tell fascinating stories about the nature of Lake Saadjärv, the formation of Vooremaa and the heroic deeds of Kalevipoeg (Kalevipoeg is the Estonian national epic about the adventures of the hero called Kalevipoeg).

The Ice Age Centre also offers active learning programmes on the environment for all ages - from kindergarten to the end of secondary school. In addition to book knowledge, all the educational programmes offer the opportunity to see and try out everything with your own eyes and hands, and are linked to the centre's exhibition.

On the ground floor of the Ice Age Centre, the family-friendly Polar Bear Café with its picturesque view awaits you! The café offers a buffet, a wide children's menu and an a' la carte menu.

The Ice Age Centre is also a great venue for conferences, birthday parties and other events. It is possible to book private seminar rooms or the entire centre.

Additional facilities: meals, catering, workshops, guided tours, rafting, educational programmes, free parking, recreation/picnic area.

The National Geographic yellow window near the Ice Age Centre represents the Lake Saadjärv region as one of the 21 places worth discovering in South Estonia.
