Location: The cosy, modern architecture of the Hundimaja (translates into Wolf House) is located on the shore of the Gulf of Riga, in Rannaküla, among pine trees and junipers. 100 m from the sea with a sandy beach and 5 km from the big road. Alvars with pastures and sheep 300 m from the house.

We offer accommodation and camping on the grass between the junipers. A well behaving pet can be brought along.

Additional facilities: For beginner windsurfing lessons there is a good shallow sandy beach right next to the house (beginner equipment provided by the training). For the more experienced surfers, there is a smooth-water bay behind the islets nearby for practising speed and tricks, and a big-wave section at the top of Kuralaid. For the adventurous, early morning bird song learning trips, boat hire.

Learning to windsurf is EASY and FUN!

Start with the right equipment and a good instructor. You'll be given fun exercises that are manageable, take account of the wind and waves, and that anyone can do! In windless conditions, we practise feeling at ease, free and comfortable in the water, e.g. sunbathing on the windsurfing boards and then falling into water from there or other games (this is very useful for improving balance and developing water confidence).

Beginners' surfing lessons take place on a nice sandy beach, with no people, low water and no waves, right next to the Hundimaja.

To learn to windsurf, beginners should come for at least two days to experience the different wind conditions and to have enough time for independent work, consolidating what they have learnt and enjoying the holiday. Beginners will be provided with equipment by the windsurfing centre, preferably they should bring their own wetsuit along.

The more advanced surfers with their own surf equipment, will be taught whatever they need at that exact moment, including trapeze, gliss, foot-loops, beach start, water start, gybe, stay, glissading gybe and faster stay (necessary for smaller boards).

Advanced lessons will be based on wind conditions. The venue will be the deeper water in the area behind the islets of Paagi Bay with rocks on the edge (smooth water also in hard winds), in front of Varbla Holiday Village. In calm wind conditions we will practice setting up equipment and simple low-wind freestyle tricks.

Possibility to pitch tents and to stay in the Hundimaja.
